Steps to Planning Your Destination Wedding

1. Choose a date and destination

Passport Travelers Agency will help you find a balance between what you love about a destination and how to make it affordable and accessible to both you and your guests. I wouldn't stress too much over your total wedding budget in the very beginning because destination weddings are VERY flexible. We can opt for anything from a complimentary (free) wedding ceremony package to a formal reception held in a ball room, and it can be scaled up or down almost up until your wedding day. Be sure to ask me about various destination wedding packages and some of my most favorite resorts!

2. Reserve the wedding venue

Its best to reserve venues between 6 - 13 months in advance keeping in mind that Saturday evening weddings are in high demand. Fun Fact - Did you know that many Caribbean destinations offer FREE wedding ceremonies for destination weddings? Most of the FREE ceremonies can be scheduled from Monday-Thursday, since Friday/Saturday weddings are so popular for the larger ceremonies.

3. Inform your guests! Private Webpage setup

Set an RSVP deadline for your guests. In order to finalize your guest list and see who's serious about coming, you'll need to set an RSVP (deposit) deadline. Deposits are $50 for the hotel-only and $200 for flight + hotel packaged accommodations. Passport Travelers Agency makes this process easy for you by creating a complimentary customized private wedding website + "evites" for you to share with your friends + family. The website will overly inform your guests of trip pricing, RSVP deadlines, traveling instructions, weekend itinerary, dress code and other Q&A's about your wedding.

4. Let us worry about everything TRAVEL

As a future bride and groom (trip hosts), we want you to spend your time enjoying engagement bliss, and not answering questions or trying to help find your guests the best travel deal. We assure you that your guests will ALWAYS pay less than internet rates and have the ability to setup flexible payment plans with us due to our Price Match Guarantee. Please refer all guests to your website for all wedding inquiries. We got you covered!

5. Your complimentary on-site wedding coordinator

will manage and execute all of your wedding day details

The resort will assign you to a Wedding Coordinator. This person is the

on-site wedding expert! They are a one-stop shop!  They can handle your photography, videography, floral, decor, DJ/MC, entertainment, food, desserts, lighting, dance floor, lighting, wedding favors, fireworks, etc. (Some brides can plan out their entire destination wedding in one sitting, while others opt to plan out every detail. A destination wedding gives brides and grooms great flexibility to channel their creative side, or JUST SHOW UP! :) If you wanted to, you can literally "show up" to your own destination wedding and everything will be handled for you, exactly as you've imagined. Don't worry! You have ME (complimentary destination wedding planner & travel consultant) + your complimentary on-site wedding coordinator - what more could you possibly need!?

6. Find your perfect dress (tux) and be stress free

Picking out your wedding day attire should be the only thing that brings stress to a Passport Travelers Agency bride or groom.  But if you'd like, I am happy to dress you as well ;) Shameless plug - Amazon Prime has some really nice, cost effective wedding dresses! (When my mentor's dress' shipment was delayed, she ordered an Amazon dress as a backup. It arrived in 2 days and fit perfect!!)
